By car: The cultural center is located north of Chicago in the city of Wheeling.  From I-294, take the Willow (Palatine) Rd. Exit and go west for 1.5 miles.  Exit at Wolf Rd. and make a right turn (towards north).  Soon after, make a left turn onto East Dr, find building 9930, and enter from Capitol Dr.  The buildings will be south of Grace Church.

Offering its first session in fall 2012, Korean Education Center invites young working professionals to learn conversational Korean, providing opportunity to learn the practical use of Korean language and culture!

Course levels and enrollment restrictions:
3 levels: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced
  • Beginners (First time learners)
  • Intermediate (Those who took Beginners level this spring or has equivalent proficiency level of Korean),
  • Advanced (Those who took Intermediate this fall, has an equivalent proficiency level of Korean)


     

2012 Test of Proficiency in Korean

The TOPIK, Test of Proficiency in Korean, is a written test designed to measure the ability of non-native speakers for expression and comprehension in the Korean language. 

Time & Date: April 14, 2012 (Saturday) 8:30AM~17:30PM

2012 Korean Government Scholarship Program for Graduate School

  • The Korean Government Scholarship Program is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students, with the aim of promoting international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship amongst the participating countries. 2012 National Unification Advisory Council Essay Contest
  • The topic for this year's NUAC-Chicago essay contest is "Images of Human Rights Violations in North Korea." All students in grades 4-12 are eligible to participate. Essays should be written in English or Korean and should not exceed 1,000 words. Deadline is March 30, 2012. 1st Prize: $500, 2nd Prize: $300, 3rd Prize: $200.
