KCC Announcements

Last year we were fortunate enough to experience the 2nd Korean Adoptees Reception/ChuSeok event at the Korean Cultural Center on Saturday, September 10, 2011.  Pictures from last year are available for viewing on the KCCoC Facebook page - click here.

Here is a list of activities from last year's event: Introduction, brief overview of ChuSeok (Hangawi), family, make Songpyun (rice cakes), see examples of the traditional bows, try on/learn about Hanbok.

The tremendous support and hard work from many different groups, artists and teachers who made that day fun for this children who attended that day was invaluable. If anyone would like to discuss options for a similar event this year (around the end of September), please email kcichicago@gmail.com or call 312-813-9391. All plans are in the beginning stages at this point; permission still needs to be sought to conduct it this year. Any thoughts on how to make it authentic and memorable for children would be appreciated. Thank you.
